Tim Adams
Senior Consultant
FASHE, CHFM, CHC, CLSS-HC
Tim Adams joined MSL in 2022 serving as a Senior Consultant. His nearly 40 years of experience in health care spans the areas of facilities management, design and construction, clinical engineering, compliance, life safety, and codes and standards advocacy.
Prior to joining the MSL Team, Tim served as the System Director of Environment of Care and Life Safety at Indiana University Health, a 17-hospital health care system. In this role he promoted system wide focus on patient care in the physical environment and continuous survey readiness through program development, internal surveys, mentoring team members, and building relationships with authorities having jurisdiction.
Prior to serving Indiana University Health, Tim served on the staff of the American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE) for 15 years including roles as Director of Leadership Development and Director of Field Engagement.
Tim is recognized nationally as a speaker, teacher, and mentor. He is co-author of the ASHE published book, Introduction to Healthcare Facility Management. He is a past president of the Indiana Society for Healthcare Engineering (ISHE) and a past president of the Indiana Biomedical Society.
Tim is an ASHE Fellow (FASHE), a Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM), a Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC), and a Certified Life Safety Specialist – Health Care (CLSS-HC). He was honored to receive the ASHE Crystal Eagle Award in 2021, ASHE’s highest level of recognition.
Tim earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from Purdue University.
