Russ Harbaugh joined MSL in 2023 serving as a Senior Consultant. He has over 24 years of leadership and managerial experience in healthcare. He has served as the Population Health Director for Support Services (including Building Services, Environmental Services, Food and Nutrition Services, Health Technology Management, Internal Transportation, Internal Construction, and the Volunteer/Gift Shop) at a four hospital health system in Idaho. Prior to this position Russ was also Director of Operations, EOC/Life Safety, Emergency Management Accreditation Coordinator and Facility Manager over two regional medical centers.

Russ is a current member of ASHE serving in various leadership roles over the last 23 years, including ASHE Region 10 Director and was the ASHE President in 2017. He is now on staff as faculty and serves on the ASHE Healthcare Leadership Development Council (HLDC). He is a two time past president of the Idaho Society for Healthcare Engineering and is still involved as their ASHE Liaison for Advocacy and Sustainability. Russ holds the designation of a Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) from the American Hospital Association and a certification from the International Board of Safety Managers as a Certified Healthcare Emergency Professional (CHEP), Master Level and a member of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).
