Ramona Cheek joined MSL in 2021 and serves as a Senior Consultant. She has worked in the healthcare industry for over 35 years. Her background includes quality management and performance improvement, Regulatory compliance and accreditation survey readiness, diabetes education, wound and ostomy management, and patient safety.

Ramona is currently the Vice President of Nursing Transformation and Innovation for Bon Secours Mercy Health. She leads the Way We Work initiative, a multi-year project developed to reimagine the way caregivers give and patient receive care. Other positions Ramona has held through the years include Chief Nursing Officer, Director of Quality, Vice President of Patient Care and Quality, Medical Surgical Clinical Nurse Specialist, nurse manager and educator, to name a few. Ramona had also been a Principal/Director at Premier Inc, a North Carolina based healthcare performance improvement alliance, primarily responsible for assisting health care organizations. She consulted with hospitals and clinics nationwide in the areas of quality, patient safety, performance improvement, regulatory and accreditation preparedness, and nurse leadership development. Ramona received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Illinois Wesleyan University and a Master of Science in Adult Health Nursing from the University of Illinois Chicago.
